About Are We Alone?

Are We Alone? is a weekly hour-long radio magazine that covers a wide range of topics relevant to the new science of astrobiology. It is hosted by the SETI Institute's Senior Astronomer, Dr. Seth Shostak.

From parallel universes to the mapping of the Neanderthal genome, this show features top scientists talking about the latest in genetics, paleontology, physics, and evolutionary biology - as well as cosmology and astronomy. Find out why Hollywood can't get their aliens right, what size wrench you need to build a time machine, and whether dark energy can be bottled (yes).

If you're a doubting Thomas, you'll have plenty of company when we separate science from pseudoscience on "Skeptical Sunday" each month. Hear the people that investigate alien abduction, psychics, ghosts, or the Shroud of Turin, and find out how they sort out the facts from the phony. It's the world of skepticism. But don't take our word for it...

Are We Alone? is produced by the SETI Institute. Shows are available for immediate download and listening at http://radio.seti.org in both Windows Media (.wma) and .mp3 formats. The show is also podcast every week as SETI: Science & Skepticism.
